The bathroom as the heart of the home
What was once a purely functional space is now conceived as a personal sanctuary within the home. At MIAD 2025, the bathroom has been reclaimed as a wellness sanctuary, where the sensory experience takes center stage thanks to the use of noble materials, strategic lighting, and enveloping designs.
An example of this is the Nothing Alabama space by Nothing Studio for Porcelanosa, which fuses precious stones, velvets, and copper details to create a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. Its fireplace next to the bathtub makes it the perfect corner for reading and disconnecting.
Meanwhile, Halo by Dornbracht by Silvia Trigueros places water at the heart of the design with a sculptural shower, curved shapes, and soft lighting that enhance the sense of calm.
In the same vein, Badlands by Sanycces by Paralela Taller Creativo reinterprets the bathroom as a ritual, opting for organic textures and a sustainable approach that transforms the space into a sensory oasis.
