Luxury: The Timeless Trend

In the world of interior design, few words resonate with as much power and permanence as luxury. While its definition evolves with time and across generations, its presence remains essential in spaces designed to evoke admiration, well-being, and a deep connection with beauty. At MIAD 2025, luxury is not showcased as excess or ostentation, but as an attitude—an intentional choice of the exceptional, a celebration of craftsmanship, and design as a sensorial, intellectual, and emotional experience.

Ascale by Inés Benavides proposes a quiet, contemplative take on luxury. Her space is built around a refined selection of noble materials, such as large-format sintered stone, which brings visual purity and structural strength. A neutral palette, balanced volumes, and carefully orchestrated indirect lighting create a serene, sophisticated atmosphere. Here, luxury is felt, not flaunted.

La Ebanistería by Cristina Puerta, in contrast, highlights time and skill as the true markers of exclusivity. Her installation is grounded in artisanal woodworking, featuring one-of-a-kind pieces that revive traditional techniques through a contemporary lens. Craftsmanship adds not only uniqueness but also narrative and soul. The result is a space rich in emotional resonance, where luxury is defined by intention and singularity.

Uecko by Freehand Arquitectura brings a more sculptural vision of luxury. Their bespoke wardrobes function as architectural interventions, merging functionality with a bold, visually impactful aesthetic. Through a sophisticated interplay of textures, proportions, and finishes, the brand crafts an immersive atmosphere where design takes center stage. It’s a statement for those who see interior design as a form of bold, personal expression.

Natuzzi by Disak champions harmony between tradition and modernity. Comfort—understood as emotional luxury—is at the heart of the space, where natural materials, soft textiles, and enveloping forms are in perfect balance. The brand’s Italian heritage is reimagined through contemporary lines, creating a warm, elegant setting where body and mind find rest.

Finally, Hold Architecture offers a more intellectual approach to luxury. Their concept explores the intersection between emotion and science, examining how spatial psychology affects our sense of well-being. With restrained compositions, chromatic balance, and biophilic design principles, the studio creates atmospheres where luxury means introspection, harmony, and conscious stimulation.
